This mission asks you to demonstrate your business and customer awareness by reflecting on the impact of digital technologies. So your mission is:

  • Choose an industry or career that interests you – for ideas visit the Target Jobs Careers Sectors pages
  • Give you opinion with respect to the impact of digital technology on that industry or career
  • REQUIRED EVIDENCE – Answer the questions on the badge application form regarding the challenges, benefits and impact of digital in your chosen industry or career. Click on the APPLY button to view the questions.

Think of a time when you have been on the receiving end of a bad customer experience. How did you feel and what did you feel about the company that gave you this poor service? Treating customers poorly is a sure fire way to damage a business. Conversely, companies that invest in excellent customer experiences tend to do better.

  1. Describe the bad customer experience
  2. Rate how this experience is likely to affect your future behaviour
  3. Briefly identify how the service could be improved if you were the relevant manager

You might not be selling a physical product, but whatever you are doing you will be “selling” the company you represent and “selling” yourself as a member of that organisation that can solve a problem for your client, customer or partner.


Your mission is to reflect on a time when you had to sell something. You can interpret “sell” in its broadest sense to include selling anything from a product or service, selling yourself, selling an idea or concept etc. Ideally your experience should include some element of making the sale such that, without your input, the sale would not have happened.
