[/iconbox][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Mission 2″][iconbox type=”11″ icon=”ws-progress-1″ i_color=”#003399″ title=”Develop Your Reflective Skills”]As you work towards earning badges at careercred you will notice that many of the tasks require you to reflect on your behaviour and performance. Developing these reflective skills is an important step in understanding who you are, what you excel at and what areas you need to work on. This is crucial data which will enable you to make good career choices. This task introduces you to the why, what and how of reflective practice. View the advice from Hull University below on the practice of reflection:

MISSION

Now it’s time to try reflecting on your practice.
At careercred we will usually ask you to reflect using Gibbs’ (1988) 6 stage reflective model.
So your task is:

  • Using Gibbs’ model, reflect on a time when you demonstrated flexibility
  • Download and complete the template here: SMMission 2 – Reflection
  • Save the complete template and when you are ready to apply for the badge, load the complete template as your evidence

This is a very broad task and you can select any event where you were flexible.
In general, this will mean that you had to deviate from an existing or planned path in order to meet your or the team’s goals.[/iconbox][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Mission 3″][iconbox type=”11″ icon=”ws-progress-2″ i_color=”#003399″ title=”Understand your Strengths and Weaknesses”]Understanding your strengths and being able to identify areas where you need to make progress is a crucial and lifelong self management skill.
There is no right or wrong set of strengths.
Different tasks and roles require different skills and strengths.
Your strengths and areas for improvement are fluid and you will find that you will have to develop new strengths as you progress through your career.

MISSION

A personality test is a tool which can help you identify some of your strengths and weaknesses.
These tests should be seen as a self awareness raising tool rather than a definitive description of who you are.

With that in mind, take the personality test here.
And then prepare your answers to the questions below.

When you are ready to APPLY for this badge you will need to respond to the questions below:
